Both sides of the duopoly are shit. Some variances in the type of shit, but still.

8K would probably be really good for large computer monitors, due to viewing distances. It would be really taxing on the hardware if you were using it for gaming, but reasonable for tasks that aren’t graphically intense.
Computer monitors (for productivity tasks) are a little different though in that you are looking at section of the screen rather than the screen as a whole as one might with video. So having extra screen real estate can be rather valuable.

I get irrationally annoyed when I hear “create value” or the similar “add value.”
Sometimes there’s already enough fucking value and we don’t need more. Especially in the realm of real estate where “value” gets added to the point that people can no longer afford it.

I run everything I can on my phone, and lots of things on my PC, through web apps rather than stand-alone apps.

Makes one think: if I’m going to deal with the same level (or worse) of authoritarianism as China, I might as well at least get the lower cost of living and better ability to be car-free that China has.
/this is rhetorical, not actually considering a relocation to China

I was curious about the “every version ever shipped.”
This gets really old school.

Could they just use regular fucking door handles?
I remember when people kept trying to assert that Tesla is a “luxury” brand, though it seems that this pretense has finally been dropped. Even so, surely they can figure out something that doesn’t seem to be an issue for even the cheapest tier of vehicles available in USDM.

Would color text on color background foil this? Red text on a green background, etc

So you’re denying that iPhone have security issues?

Yes, this is why Androids and iPhone have inherently different security issues.

Alternately: I was mentioning this to pre-empt anyone marching in here and puffing up about iPhone. Or thinking that they don’t need to worry about security issues.
Of course you know and understand the intent of my comment. Your bad-faith response fails to impress.

For a TV, just don’t connect it to a network.
This doesn’t work for the Amazon Echo Show though, since internet connectivity is required for its core function.

“That giant electronic advertising billboard really tied the room together.”
“And he peed on it.”

Even if this particular attack is against Android phones, it should be noted that iPhones have their own security issues.
Stay safe out there, regardless of what type of phone you use.
Edit: lol, looks like I ruffled some feathers, with a few people really going the extra mile to take the wrong message from it

I lost interest in the channel due to their overly optimistic hopium, e.g. “We WILL solve climate change.”

Imagine if, when Facebook rolled out, people were just like “no thanks, I’m good” and it never took off.
And here I am all old-school, just making a list for things.
