I think the easiest way would be to have two vlans on your local network. One that is connected to the internet and another that is local only. I think you’d have to switch networks when wanting to access the jellyfin server in that instance, but would negate the main issue, which is your VPN.
Edit: that’s about the most secure you can get I think. If you bought a different physical router to host it, you’d have about as secure a setup as possible.
Exactly, the only real first party game was BOTW (and that also released on the Wii u).
There were some smaller games, like 12 switch/snipperclips/fast rmx, but the switch on release (and most of its life) was struggling for games.
Oh yeah, real physical games are better, no arguement from me.

The only reason they sold any was because the console released with like one game, which seems to be the same strategy this time around too.
I mean with this setup you can still sell the game and it keeps a used game market. I don’t like not actually “possessing” the game cause we know everything online shuts down eventually, but it’s much better than the “physical games” that actually just have a download code.
If you don’t play on PC at all, a steamdeck will open you up to a whole new world of opportunity with games that are really cheap.

I’ve seen this a lot recently. This isn’t about what police can do, it’s about border crossings. You can be required to unlock your device when entering the country or be denied entry (or possibly worse).
The best route is to have a phone specifically for travel.
That’s always been the issue with laws like this, just causes people to find worse things.
Banning alcohol lead to people dying from bootleg. Making drugs illegal lead to things like people huffing paint (maybe cost too).
I think the issue is they hit market saturation and haven’t been able to develop any real revenue streams beyond the sale of devices (which is one time cost while maintenance and development constantly drain them of any profit).
I suspect the increased enshitification is because they need other revenue streams. Just take a look at their stock price and it doesn’t paint a great picture for them.

While the amount of debt has been ever growing, it hasn’t relative to GDP. When it has grown, it’s grown primarily due to policies from Bush and Trump. Both of these president’s also passed massive tax breaks which is a significant contributing factor to the national debt.
At the end of the day, the national debt only matters if we can’t pay it. All the cuts being made to federal spending right now are more significant because they will slow down the economy and cause reverberations for years to come (public research and investment are multipliers for the economy in many ways).
As you call out, we should be taxing billionaires, which points to the larger economic concern right now for America - economic disparity.
You’ve really bought into the propaganda there, besides Clinton our national debt has always been the “highest” every year. The most important factor is foreign vs domestically held debt, and that ratio hasn’t changed for the worse.
Obviously we have some spending concerns, but financially that’s not the primary concern for the US right now (and we wouldn’t be talking tax cuts if it was).

Thats fair, it’s a bit nerve racking (especially right now with everything going on). If you’ve got a good interest rate on the account then you’re at least not loosing too much value, but the main reason to invest is that money looses value over time (due to things like inflation).
Not a fiduciary or anything like that, but double check your at least getting at least 3% on your savings accounts, otherwise you’re basically throwing money away.
So what do you invest in then? It feels really hard to find any opportunities outside of the stock market.
If you want to limit consumer decisions to subscription vs no-subscriptions than sure, but subscriptions are just one element of the choices people have to make.
You also have issues like data privacy, ethical labor, maintainability, etc. Too many things for everyone to keep up with and effectively vote with their wallet.
There are a couple of problems with this logic and it’s why regulations are critical to a functioning world.

Tariffs can work, but they should be targeted and executed in a planned way. Completely decoupling China and US is more likely to break things than fix them.
If you look at Biden maintaining tariffs, export controls on chips, and the Chips act you see a very coordinated and purposeful policy to keep the US at the center of chip design and manufacturing.
