No, I would have no idea. It’s a standard notification? You can’t choose the sound? If it was a ladies site I’d say “vibrate” would be the obvious choice, but for a gay men’s site, no idea.

I’ve been reading the responses and it reminded me of the class I took called Business Communications, where they emphasized that CYA style communication was absolute nonsense, your responsibility when communicating is to convey information in a way that can be received, and if that doesn’t happen it’s your fault, not the recipient’s, you can’t control them only you.
So if this is just one person who misses all the questions, sure, it’s them, but you still need to figure out how to get your answers. If it’s everyone, it’s you. Maybe these questions aren’t amenable to email, maybe it’s your format, if you want answers (and not just to prove you asked in some sort of gotcha game) you need to ask the people who aren’t answering why they aren’t.
Everywhere I’ve worked, people answer these by choosing a different font color and writing answers back in the email, but there are not a lot of questions by email. Maybe a note to “provide answers in BLUE” with the word blue in blue font would help?
I don’t see how buying or not buying is going to hit the guy who is doing this.
As long as you aren’t buying trump-coins or whatever they are called, or a Tesla.
In the end there can be only one!
I like this, but you can’t have kids and be immortal, that’s a recipe for overpopulation.
Would enjoy not aging past adulthood (or not past 45, that was my “vampire age”), but life has to end unless you want all the same people around forever and no or very few new ones.
Where I live, they prop up companies with tax breaks, subsidies, sometimes will reimburse for wages even, to try to get businesses to establish and employ here.
That “chips act” was a national version, right?
We could also just do a lot more redistribution from the top, and try to advantage small businesses more. You can’t do everything from the top, a lot of a real economy has to grow from the ground, right? Nationalize healthcare so it’s not employer-based to encourage entrepreneurship.
I’m sure there are many more actions that could be taken - there is a huge opportunity for improvement in our economy but most of it relates to breaking up the top and growth from the bottom.
Tariffs are a tool, sure. But not the only one, and I’m not convinced they are tackling our main economic issues here, at all, certainly not as implemented. As one part of a more comprehensive progressive reform they might help but that’s not the way these guys roll.
No, they could use other means to reinvigorate manufacturing here, if that is even their goal. I tend to agree that this race to the bottom was a mistake, the chasing ever cheaper labor hasn’t done anything for the majority. But it’s only one part of the inequality we are suffering here. There is no method to the madness as far as I can tell. And to your last point (crashing the economy) I can’t even tell if they care about that.
Nobody is “against tariffs” - they are used everywhere. We are against this ridiculous random implementation that makes no sense. Mr. Trump is not using them like a scalpel, to grow manufacturing here, I don’t think he cares about that. He seems to think they are some way to bully other countries into doing what he wants.
Sentour.
I would be happy to never see a PDF again, can we not have something better?
I always think it’s like complaining that nobody under a certain age can use the card catalog, microfiche or whatever. Technology changes. I have so many leftover now useless skills; please God may the ones related to Adobe rot on that same pile soon.
Shapes need to be different, as others have already said. So men’s and women’s clothes do need different construction. But sizes could be just measurements. Absolutely. Yes.
Shoes, no. They should all be length in cm and then a narrow, medium, wide, xwide.
You’d need to arrange the code ahead of time with whoever you were communicating with. I can imagine a few ways to do it, the number of letters in the words, the arrangement of the spaces between words, first letter of first word, second letter of second word, up through five words and start over, prearranged code phrases of course but nothing that would work with an unwitting recipient.
I don’t do it anymore, but running or any cardio first thing in the morning does actually work to give you more energy in the day. I did it out of desperation - 0500 was the only time I had to myself and running is nearly free. I need exercise to manage my mood. So while my kids were asleep, I ran and honestly seeing the sun rise was such a beautiful hopeful feeling.
Now do am in a better situation I sleep later and exercise after work, but that early running saw me through a pretty hard time.
In my experience, you make friends by being a friend. Some people just acquire a collection of friends to do things with, those are good people to start with. I invited one of our gay coworkers to a concert (because he liked the band) and now all my kids love him and we also go to yoga together. He is definitely someone who collects friends, he does hang out still with other people who used to work here.
Someone like that is a good place to start, to practice having friends. Once you are more comfortable with people it will be easier. You only have to be involved at the level you want, but basically I’d say if you want someone who would change your medical dressing that needs to be someone for whom you would do the same. That’s how you would know it’s ok. For me I would get an appointment with the walk in and pay, instead of asking someone who doesn’t know what they are doing.
We learned American Spanish when I was in school, no vosotros, no soft S, because we learned it from Cuban teachers. My kids got a mix but mostly, as you are saying, Spain Spanish. I think part of the reason is that Spain Spanish is one thing - canonical Spanish, yes? But in the Americas it’s varied, different in the US from Mexico, from Colombia, from Argentina, Costa Rica. Dialects.
Oh I am still tech support for some of my kids (and definitely for my husband). But yelling at my phone to “turn on the flashlight!” and leaving bluetooth on are the things I think drive the kids batty. “Mom! Just drag down from the top!”
This is sort of what I saw in California - where I’m from, Hispanic people were “the white people”, and people descended from Africans were “the black people” and I wasn’t aware of any sort of prejudice against Asians, they got lumped under the big umbrella of “white” . But when I was in California it was more like black and white guys considered themselves Americans, all one thing, and discriminated against Mexicans and Asians.
It’s all made up, to keep people divided. Not to say there are no historical reasons reverberating still - institutional wealth comes from the past and slavery, so descendents of slaves have legitimate grievance- but the categories/rules of in groups and out groups and who is discriminated against are not the same all over the US.
You can identify however you want and I think pansexual is correct because you are attracted to the person not their gender, you just lean straight.
Here is a list of the top 5 most litigious countries by capita:
Yeah. I am old so have watched this game a long time.
1375? Die from malaria, I guess? Be eaten by an alligator? Or oh no, hasten the demise of the Tocobaga with my exotic biology? Either they would kill me or get me sick, or vice versa. Also, fall on my ass when my house disappeared.
I would follow the river to the bay, I guess, and see if I could find anyone, or anything I might be able to eat.
