In all honesty, if I was told my data would be handled by some guy in the Philippines rather than a black box algorithm, I’d consider that a plus.
“Human-handled” needs to be some a badge of honor.

Plot twist: And they’ll still pack their passengers like sardines.
It’s the old spam problem again. Spammers pass the cost of their customers to their victims, while AI bots pass the cost of their crawling to the sites they crawl (without authorization).
I see no easy solution for this.
If I had $12,000 I could get rid of my crippling debt, and these fuckers spend it on luxury cruises that even destroy the ecosystem?
If that cruise ever sinks please tell me, it’ll make my day.
Interesting.
Now if they plugged this into an intelligent agent powered by expert systems instead of a conversational parrot we might start to have actual futuristic AI applications.
Civility is what is demanded of the oppressed after the oppressors robbed, assaulted and threatened. No more. ✊
Oh fuck off, bootlicker.
A 500-watt electric pump serves as the robot’s “heart,” pushing fluid at 40 standard liters per minute.
As usual, when you read the article you stumble upon a gigantic technical hurdle. 😕
EDIT: And I’m not against the technology. I’m all for prosthetics and humanoid robots for menial work.
Just imagine the possibilities if full human-pike prosthetics are developed. Think of people who have lost their arms or legs, suddenly being able to walk again.
(And of course, applied robotics for sex bots 😉)
I keep getting the suspicion that many of these flashy projects are red herrings paid by Musk or Zuckerberg or whoever to stop people from actually developing reasonable alternatives.
Because shit like this keeps happening over and over.
