Make sure you wishlist it!
And don’t forget to check your Matrix chat mister!!!
That girl who plays Steam Deck and writes about gaming + Linux a lot
Make sure you wishlist it!
And don’t forget to check your Matrix chat mister!!!
…worryingly, I had more to add but when I saw I was over 5,000 words I thought maaaaybe time to stop and hold the other bits back!
Oh, and thanks as ever for GameSieve! I love it, and really do check in constantly there :)
Oh gosh, thats like the sweetest thing ever!
Thank you so much for saying that. I’m lucky that people like you enjoy them, otherwise I’d have lost steam long ago!!!
Thank you!
I was excited for the Space Marine remaster, but…I only played perhaps 1 hour or so…it’s super disappointing, but that’s on me for getting excited before it came out (again).
Firebreak is 100% my next ‘big’ excitement, I’m so ready to play it!!! I’m right there with you with the Remedyverse!!!
And FFS don’t send me weird rage-filled basement-dweller DM’s on all my platforms demanding to know why I’m friendly to Epic. The last time I posted something with Epic news in it, some of you really took it badly.
It was weird.
Nice to see so much care and effort being put in here, Dremor!
I love the thought, and it makes me feel super happy to see this place getting some more focus. Having well and truly burned my bridges (and enjoyed watching the napalm) on my ‘regular’ social media, having this place as my focus on long-form posts just makes me happy. Makes me even more so to see making this place even better is your plan!
I’m happy to raise my hand to moderate, if you still need extra help. I’d guess not since Lemmy’s workload on a modqueue is a small one. But do feel free to reach out to me via DM if you’d like suggestions/recommendations! Having moderated on Reddit (from giant 10m+ subs to the tiny community-focused ones) I’ve got plenty of ideas to encourage more community involvement?!
Take your fking screenshots and go to hell already.
Yeah, great, what a super constructive and positive outlook to have. If you mean these kinds of posts where the they share screenshots and the thoughts they’ve had on how the game plays, each day then I’m not sure how you consider that low effort.
I’m guessing you haven’t even clicked on them?
They write a great deal, show how the game feels, express how they’ve enjoyed the games and if they’d recommend them. I consider these posts one of the more valuable we have here in this community. It’s not just a link and a one-liner, they’re writing and sharing their experiences and creativity. Formatted and so well made.
Its insane to me that you’d think this is shit. What would you prefer be posted here?
That’s kind of you, Dremor!
And thanks for letting me have a space where I can share these long-form posts. They make me happy to write them, and each week its a relief to see them welcomed here :)
I am sorry!
I’ve had that a few times, I do know the Boost app for iOS struggles with these posts, too. Glad you worked around it, and sorry it caused your app to get wonky!!!
I love that in these cases that whim of joining leaves people with a project they love, a community to enjoy, and friends for life!!!
Really, thats what I love in the FOSS world too!
Glad you enjoyed this, let me know what you think of it when you check it out, I’m super curious how you find it :)
Well, keep an eye on RetroDECK + RomM, being friends with the RetroDECK devs, I can say they’re taking that idea just as seriously as you are!!!
I really wish I was better with puzzle games. Even the world’s darling - Portal - is a bit beyond me. Despite having a brain that should enjoy puzzle games…they never catch on for me!
Congratulations on the baby, I hope you get a little more time to enjoy both holding and gaming soon enough :)
Thank you for reading it, and enjoying these!!!
Ohhhh maybe that is why I found a user elsewhere offering to pay for people to design some game covers for specific titles with the similar white font idea?!
(and me too, I played Colin McRae with my papa a lot and I just love it, you can make it look amazing with emulators these days!!!)
They’ve a whole bunch of promotions for sales on their site right now!!!
Its funny, I just think I have a thing for the underdogs. So I was always drawn to GOG, their stance on DRM-free gaming and games preservation in general don’t hurt though, of course!
Its taken me until now to even really look at Steam, even for my Steam Deck. I will admit, Steam’s cloud saves and pre-shader compilation is a blessing to game with.

I didn’t even know this, but it does work!!! …apparently.
edit - why the downvote? I’m all ears, please please please just comment why you’d feel me replying with this link (which I didn’t even find, a helpful person elsewhere in the comments found this method for RSS) was a bad thing?
I found KCD II made huge improvements over the first. I mean, that’s natural and kinda stupid to say…but it felt more ‘complete’ to me. The first actually had me a bit overwhelmed - there were too many options, too much to do and see. The second while actually expanding that aspect…well it just felt a bit more focused. To me, anyway.
I did install a lot of mods also, to remove some of what I find tedious, but others adore.
Regardless, KCD is such an achievement!
If I had more time, I could 100% arrange a crazy once-off downloadable and installable demo disk of non-copyrighted games.
As it stands, the more I write of this reply the more work I know it’d be! (still fun though)
