That low end of 100 would be with full eugenics. Selecting for genetic diversity, not for “hotness”.
If you were selecting for that, it would mean less genetic diversity, you might start seeing problems within 5 generations. But that’s just me speculating.
This has been modeled. Though I don’t have any references at hand, this is what I remember.
If you want to allow people to choose mates and breed normally, you’d need at least 3000 people, 4 to 5000 would be better.
If you are strictly controlling genomes and breeding pairs, ignoring monogamy and social norms. You might be able to get away with 100 if you selected for maximum initial genetic diversity. But 200 would be easier.

Is an online script builder you can use to do all manner of things. The first time I used it I went hog wild picking all sorts of things, and made my matching practically unusable. So be careful and stick to their recommendations unless you know exactly what you want to kill.
Some cities have sites for that. Check your local .gov

The idea is to make the wealthy sell some of their assets. Thus driving the price of those assets down. If people horde fewer houses, the market of buyers shrinks and prices fall.
Now a 2% tax on certain assets won’t solve everything. But its a good start. There will need to be a number of loopholes closed and other taxes targeting the super wealthy, in order to make a real difference.
It’s kind of a given that people are going to try to get patents for stupid things they obviously shouldn’t. It’s the whole job of the patent office to decline such requests. If people only ever applied for good and reasonable patents, then approval could be automatic. It’s not, only because they need to filter out the bad ones.
The real problem here is that the patent was granted. It seems dumb to apply for it. But how dumb is it, if applications like this actually get approved?
