Well, kinda…due to inheritance, it’d kinda be like the Lernaean Hydra.

Perhaps pokable is a more apt description.
Is this a service rendered to the owners or the vehicles?
If you’re
afraidresponsible for the well-being of other people and can’t afford toofbeingarrested, stay homedo what you’re doing and weigh the risks, seek advice and knowledge to safely make your voice heard. We needthe braveall types, not cowardsimpassioned people with less to lose may choose to protest through higher risk activities, but not everyone needs to go that route at this point.
Maybe use your own D words to align with the vibe, but distance yourself enough to have some plausible deniability?
Disdain, Deplore, defenestrate Dispute
There are probably much better D words, but those are off the top of my head.
Dang. At least in Black Mirror 21st century politics got to be shadow-ruled by an animated blue dog puppet, which took a modicum of the edge off the oppression.
Religious conservatives love project 2025. Most Republicans are
Religiousbrainwashed Christofascists, so they love it.
Derek from Veritasium also made a great video about the various voting systems and which one seems to be the most democratic: https://youtu.be/qf7ws2DF-zk
I hope to someday see a Rated Choice ballot.
Public health isn’t currently politically popular. Politicians doing the right thing and fighting for better public health research put themselves at risk. Therefore, they’re more than willing to abandon it without much immediate risk (and maybe even some gain).
Then, when public health decays and a lot of people start dying, the idea that maybe we should invest in public health programs will become popular and the pendulum will swing, politicians will support it again and they’ll look like heroes.
Oh wait, public health, via shitty insurance-based framework, is already cooked and a lot of people are already dying? Dammit. Well, at least that woke-ass gene-ridden molecule is finally getting held accountable.
It’s really ironic how the message-carrying RNA is the one being silenced. Like, not even molecules get to have freedom of speech anymore.
That’s nothing to sneeze at!
How long until the next, deadlier, plague shows up? Laurie Garrett did some pretty great analyses back in the 90s based on population density and mobility in The Coming Plague that worked pretty well for COVID, iirc. With the collapse of biomedical shields at NIH and CDC, I shudder to envision a pathogen like the one in Contagion showing up for Act II of the American Shitshow.
That part where the constellation of cybershits all over the country suddenly went Maximum Overdrive and plowed into all the nation’s public libraries and burned all the books was pretty impactful.
It got too weird to watch after the starlink satellites started shooting laser beams to blind anyone who voted blue. I had to learn from my kids, who kept watching, about the parts showing the compulsory Neuralink implants and subsequent shock-induced enslavement.
Tim Urban put his established “accessible intellectual blogger” credibility behind some truly convincing pro-Musk propaganda pieces on Wait But Why back in ~2015 or so, which at the time were inspiring and felt very believable for people searching for signs of an improving future. For me, Musk fell hard from that grace during the Thailand cave rescue when he attacked that British caver in the most absolutely childish way. I really resent that Urban hasn’t gone back to readdress those old blog posts, but maybe he’s just another paid shill.
Honestly surprised the megapharma corporations that manufacture and profit off vaccines have been tolerating him this well.
