You’re stretching it to say that when the Linux version has extremely limited game support.

Every hang up I had eventually got solved. Except with modding games, I sorely miss Vortex or Mod Organizer and there’s no alternatives I know of besides doing it all manually.

That wasn’t a showstopper for me though. VR, HDR, Video Games were. These three are solved well enough for my tastes this year to drop my dual boot.

I love CachyOS but you need to be a certain kind of nerd who can handle updates breaking stuff. Or more importantly, willing to RTFM and prevent a lot of it.

Rule of thumb is to not update constantly/daily. Nor should you update too seldomly. Weekly or monthly is the usual. If that sounds like a PITA then yeah, that’s why it’s not recommended.

Not really besides maybe more conservative trolls upsetting people in their usual favourites like unpopular opinion communities. Negative communities are troll attracting nectar generally.

Well OP isn’t using Piefed but you can choose not to federate votes by default as a user settings option, and then you’d have to hold down the vote button to select a federated vote option instead.

I just wonder what customer satisfaction is. You can get a fool to waste their money only so many times. Buyers Remorse was the PS4 for me.

I still have stuff as far back as DOS and Win9x titles on my shelves. Sure I have to use virtual machines and emulators these days since I’m not willing to buy or hold onto old hardware but I’m still able to do this on modern PC which is the main point: freedom.

I only care about exclusives anymore which is an artificial value yep.

There are some exceptions like PS2 was my DVD movje player and PS3 was Bluray movie player and what I used Universal Media Server with back then streaming from my PC. Not just the games, but there were games too. Plus weird stuff on PSN like Trash Panic or Tokyo Jungle.

Also I refuse to pay for online play and I stuck to it.

I used to say PC + Nintendo, but Switch 2 looks like enshittification caught up with Nintendo.

So just PC now.

I haven’t had any noticeable joystick wear on my four Pro 2’s since launch date April 2021. I’m using them evenly however, so that might skew things. I swap to the next every time the battery needs recharging.

Weekly couch gaming sessions with my friends is why I have four.
