Those rich people are demanding Trump to take away the health care from millions, so they can get a tax cut they don’t need, and won’t even notice. That kid would have been doing the same thing in 20 years, so I don’t feel bad for him or any of the rest of them. They paid a lot of money for an adventure that would give them bragging rights, and got a bigger adventure than they bargained for.
These Psychopathic Tech Oligarchs know that it is only a matter of time before the AI Slaughterbots turn on us, and they’re hoping that their obsequience will save them.
It won’t. Hopefully the Slaughterbots will kill them first.
Years ago, I worked for WEA Record (Warner Bros), and one of our labels was Rhino Records, who liked to release great reissues and compilations of our-of-print albums and artists.
They did it by the book at first, getting permission from the copyright holders, who were happy to see their stuff back in print, and get royalty checks again, especially since most of them were getting older, and didn’t mind an extra income stream as they headed into retirement, even if it was small.
There were some cult classics that they wanted to release, but couldn’t find the copyright holders. After a while, they decided to go ahead and release that albums anyway, but put the royalties into escrow. When/if the rights holder came forward, their royalties would be waiting for them.
It seemed like a reasonable, moral way to handle the situation, unlike the way record companies usually do business, which is to just steal as much as they can, and if they get sued, bury the plaintiff in expensive litigation. Rhino Records, and the people who worked there, always seemed like a relatively honorable outfit, by comparison.
Considering that Harvard educated assholes have been a major part of fucking up our government, in not so sure that Harvard should still be considered such a paragon of human knowledge. It seems like more of a social club for aspiring Sociopathic Oligarchs.
I hate any voice-activated programs. Sometimes I’ll ask my phone to call someone, and most of the time it does. But every now and then, it seems to completely forget my voice, the English language, how to access my contacts, how to spell anything, etc. I end up spending five minutes trying to force it to dial by my voice, screaming and cursing at it like a psychopath, when it would have taken me literally 3 seconds to just make the call manually.
If you try to do some sort of voice-to-text thing, it ALWAYS screws it up so bad, that you end up spending more time editing, than if you’d just typed it yourself in the first place.
Fuck voice-activated anything. It NEVER works reliably.

It probably started with one person getting up earlier, making coffee, and bringing back coffee and some small pastry or something. That would be easy to deal with, and a nice wake up.
Then it turned into this whole thing where they bring a tray with all this stuff on it, including a vase with a flower, and it’s all wobbly and spilling, and you have sit up with your legs out straight, unable to properly lean back against something, etc. It was a nice thought, but way more trouble than it’s worth.
Just bring me some coffee, please.
