That’s what I thought when I first saw this
He says he wants free speech, but all he ever wanted was to replace the previous censorship and propaganda regime with his own.
They fear open source software because it is one of the only thing that threatens their technofascist hegemony.
This only further proves that we are investing in platforms that are chipping away at them.

It is a matter time before they try to get it banned.
The first step would probably be to try and revoke their tax exempt non profit status. But I’m confident the Signal Foundation would at that point just move to another jurisdiction. Maybe Canada, Switzerland or something like that.

I hope Signal doesnt end up getting outlawed in the US. Elon musk seems to be against it now, and he has a lot of power these days.
