Not really a fan of Ebay. Getting a used slightly worn phone doesn’t seem like a good idea. The usb C on every phone I have had (if it gets clean or not) starts to not work as well if at all, and the battery is certainly not going to work to 100 percent any more.

The thing is an iphone wont let me do anything. It’s useless. No custom connection to my server, no seperate maps, no music, no ssh, no RDP. No adblock, no firefox.

Iphones are kind of nice but you can’t do anything worthwhile with them.

Encryption really is not much overhead with a modern processor.

I do believe the steam deck uses a modern processor with hardware cryptology.

I use mine as a computer often. When I travel it stores notes, has my email accounts, and is a productive tool.

So yeah I would like to encrypt it. As it is I use vaults and back up encrypted to my own cloud. But it would be nice to simply do the whole thing.
