Linux is great and all (i have like 20 machines here), but i don’t care for linux in regard to gaming. I need my soundcard and sadly the stupid games with anti-cheat.
I know what you want to tell me. But I buy product x, y and z and want to use one singular controlling software to, well, control them…
Right when you start it up. Right now it’s "just x their own products. But I’m sure if noone complains, it’ll broaden.
“Require” isn’t right OFC. But why would i buy one and use third party stuff that may or may not work with all features of a product?
Logitech went coocoo a while ago… But since they’ve put motherfucking ads in their driver (I have never ever thought i would say such a bizarre thing) I’ve thrown away my lg-stuff and replaced it. After like 20yrs of brand-loyalty. Ads…in…a…driver…which already sucked ass since the switch to lg-hub. Ugh.
(AI will) reach or exceed human capacity” by 2027
Dude. It hasn’t even reached the capacity of a mildly intellectually challenged mouse.
Sure, for anything else than a car. But I don’t want to have to look at it while driving 250km/h, I want to feel if I have the right button and also pressed it. Pure safety.
Everywhere else I’d surely prefer a touchscreen over haptic buttons. I mean I have through this great tech-evolution, I love it. But it all has its place, and the car doesn’t seem like the right place for it. At least not for everything.
Great. Next please: no more touch-controls. I want back haptic buttons for the most important stuff.
EDIT: Instead of silly downvotes, an opinion on why touchscreens/-buttons are superior would be preferable. I’m curious.
Even worse than not-really-understanding-any-of-it is the wilful ignorance shown by some. “I have nothing to hide” is the epitome of obedient worker-ant stupidity.
Don’t understand your downvotes, but probably owners of such bugs :-)
AND not even being paid for doing so. But paying for instead. that’s the most bizarre part of it.
Oh no. God beware we would get really useful shit out of AI. Where’s the profit in that… Recently installed a mod for Cyberpunk, which used generative AI to voice 5 trillion text-thingies so you could actually hear the lore while continue gaming. One single person was able to voice tons of thousands of text-lines with many different voices, accents and flairs. THAT was an excellent use for AI and it is even very good voice-“acting”.
So yeah, there are some really good ways to use it. But not in my toaster or toothbrush. And yeah, a basic LOCAL(!) AI on every computer I would appreciate. Focus here is LOCAL though. But again: where’s the profit in that.
